University Academic Board (UAB)
Each partner has a University Academic Board (UAB) in accordance with its regulations. It is usually participated by three members of each institution; one of them belongs to the JPB, with the only exception of the Coordinator university, which will have two members in the JPB, the General Coordinator and the National Coordinator. The UAB will support the JPB in meeting its responsibilities and will manage the academic matters relating to the Programme within its organisation.
Each institution will designate a member of staff to act as National Coordinator for the Programme. The National Coordinators will manage the overall coordination between universities and liaise with each other in academics and administrators at each institution in relation to the development, delivery and progression of the Programme; ensuring exchange of necessary information; dealing with disputes at the early stage; arranging exchange and visit opportunities for staff members and opportunities to participate in teaching activities and professional development and assisting the Programme Director in the operation of the Programme where necessary and appropriate.
The National Coordinator for each university will also acts as Chair of the corresponding UAB. The UAB will assist each National Coordinator in ensuring the smooth operation of the Programme at its own institution.
The administration (publicity, admissions, registrations, redistribution of fees to the partner universities), custody of the student files and the degree awarding files, and day-to-day management (notices, calendars, financial management, coordination of common activities) of the overall Programme will be conducted primarily by the Coordinating University, supported by the REM Secretariat in collaboration with the partner universities as necessary.
